Transfer News: Manchester United Aim For Icon's Son, Tottenham Want £30M Left-Back

The second generation is on the rise.

In the same week Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid reached the final of the Europa League, his son, Giovanni, scored a hat-trick for Fiorentina to end Napoli's Serie A title hopes.

Enzo Zidane, son of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, has moved from the Bernabeu to Lausanne in Switzerland to kick-start his career.

And Enrico Chiesa's son Federico, a 20-year-old winger, plays alongside Giovanni Simeone at Fiorentina in Italy. The offspring are coming of age.

But our transfer round-up this morning begins with possibly the most exciting product of any European legend.

Patrick Kluivert's son Justin is just 18 years old but has been a regular in the Ajax first team over the past two seasons. He has caught the eye of some of the continent's biggest clubs which, according to the Daily Mirror, includes Jose Mourinho and Manchester United .

A more finished product is Ryan Bertrand. The Southampton left-back has impressed at the St. Mary's Stadium, forcing himself into contention for England's World Cup squad, and now Tottenham Hotspur are considering a £30 million bid for him, according to the Daily Star.

Across North London, Arsenal may be down after failing to reach the Europa League final but they have won the race for Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu, according to the Evening Standard. The 21-year-old currently plays in the Bundesliga for Freiburg and was wanted by Bayern Munich.

Even at 37, Gareth Barry's career in the Premier League may not be over. West Brom are heading toward relegation but Barry may be thrown a lifeline as Aston Villa push for promotion and, according to the Daily Mirror, they want to sign the midfielder.

Champions League finalists Liverpool are preparing for next season already, and Jurgen Klopp is aiming to bring in more attacking talent. According to the Daily Mirror, the German manager wants to sign Christian Pulisic, the 19-year-old American winger, from his former club Borussia Dortmund.

And finally, Crystal Palace will holds talks with Yohan Cabaye and Joel Ward at the end of the season to clarify plans for the future, according to the Guardian.
