Having lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January, Liverpool have been fortunate not to have been affected by the departure of their main man.

Coutinho, the silky Brazilian, was the latest Liverpool player to impress on Merseyside and then push for a move away from Anfield. As with Luis Suarez in 2014, he went to the Camp Nou.

But it hasn't taken long for Coutinho to be replaced at Liverpool, and there is already interest from the world's biggest clubs—including Barcelona.

Here, Newsweek guides you through the situation on Merseyside as well as the other transfer news and rumors swirling around the Premier League on Tuesday (March 20):

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly shown interest in Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, but The Times says the Anfield club will not sell the Egyptian. Coutinho's departure funded the pending arrival of Naby Keita in the summer.

Coutinho's departure didn't seem to affect Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool too drastically but striker Roberto Firmino has told Goal! that the team had to adjust the way they played.

Over at Old Trafford, The Guardian say Luke Shaw will not be forced out of Manchester United this summer after continuously falling out with Jose Mourinho. But the Daily Mail say Chelsea are leading the race to sign the 22-year-old left-back.

Previous reports have suggested Arsenal would be willing to sell Hector Bellerin to fund a summer spending spree. According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have made an enquiry but it is Italian giant Juventus that are favorites to sign the Spaniard.

Arsenal received a boost in their pursuit of Bordeaux's 21-year-old forward Malcom, according to the Evening Standard, after Jupp Heynckes ruled Bayern Munich out of a move for the Brazilian. North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham are expected to make a renewed attempt to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail. But the South London club has valued Zaha in excess of £40 million.

And finally, Arsenal are planning a £25 million move for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno this summer, according to The Sun. They see the 26-year-old as a long-term replacement for Petr Cech.
