Updated | March marks the second month in the official primary season of the 2016 presidential election. It kicked off with crucial voting on Super Tuesday and will continue with other significant nominating events.

Here's a look at this month's primaries, caucuses and debates.

March 1 (Super Tuesday): Alabama, Alaska (Republican), American Samoa (Democrat), Arkansas, Colorado (Republicans won't vote), Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Wyoming (Republican) and Democrats abroad

March 3: Republican debate in Detroit, 9 p.m. ET

March 5: Kansas, Kentucky (Republican), Louisiana, Maine (Republican) and Nebraska (Democrat)

March 6: Democratic debate in Flint, Michigan, 8 p.m. ET; Maine (Democrat) and Puerto Rico (Republican)

March 7: Democratic town hall in Detroit, 6 p.m. ET

March 8: Hawaii (Republican), Idaho (Republican), Michigan and Mississippi

March 9: MSNBC Republican town hall with Florida Senator Marco Rubio in Miami at 8 p.m. ET; Democratic debate in Miami at 9 p.m. ET

March 10: Republican debate in Miami at 8:30 p.m. ET

March 11: MSNBC Republican town hall with Governor John Kasich in Lima, Ohio, at 8 p.m. ET

March 12: District of Columbia (Republican), Guam (Republican) and Northern Mariana Islands (Democrat)

March 14: MSNBC Democratic town hall with Bernie Sanders in Columbus, Ohio, at 6 p.m. ET; MSNBC Democratic town hall with Hillary Clinton in Springfield, Illinois, at 7 p.m. ET

March 15: Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Northern Mariana Islands (Republican) and Ohio

March 19: U.S. Virgin Islands (Republican)

March 21: Canceled: Republican debate in Salt Lake City; CNN three-hour town hall with all five candidates appearing separately, 8 p.m. ET

March 22: American Samoa (Republican), Arizona, Idaho (Democrat) and Utah

March 26: Alaska, Hawaii and Washington State (all three Democrat)

March 29: CNN GOP town hall with Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Kasich in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 8 - 11 p.m. ET

March 30: MSNBC town hall with Kasich in Queens, New York, at 7 p.m. ET; MSNBC town hall with Trump in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at 8 p.m. ET
