Manchester United's teenage striker Marcus Rashford is "stalling" on a new contract, according to reports.

The Times claims Rashford, 19, is concerned that his progress has stalled since he burst into public consciousness at Old Trafford last season under Louis Van Gaal.

Jose Mourinho, Van Gaal's successor, has a reputation for being sceptical about blooding young players, though Rashford has featured 20 times for United in the Premier League this season; however, 10 of those were as a substitute.

Mourinho has mainly played Rashford as a left winger, which perhaps accounts for a goal total of just three in the English Premier League.

While Rashford reportedly wants to stay at United, and has a contract until 2020, The Times claims he will "consider his position" at the end of the season.
