The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel dropped Season 2 in December 2018, but the Amazon series already has major plans in store for Season 3.

In Season 2, Miriam "Midge" Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) ventured to Paris and the Catskill Mountains. Midge is expected to get a change of scenery in Season 3 as she travels to Miami, according to star Tony Shalhoub.

"I think I've heard that we're going to Miami in June. That's all I know," Shalhoub, who plays Midge's father Abe Weissman, told ET Online at the Writers Guild Awards on Sunday. "I don't know what that [involves]. It's about [Midge's] tour, but that's all I got."

Shalhoub also explained how Midge's father is will begin to warm up to the idea of her becoming a stand-up comedian, adding: "I think that maybe he's starting to realize that this isn't just a pipe dream and that maybe, in the eyes of the public, she's got something… I'm not sure, but I think there's a little bit of a thaw going on."

At this time, Amazon hasn't announced a Season 3 premiere date for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls), the 1950s-set comedy-drama follows Midge as her seemingly blissful life in New York's Upper West Side begins to crumble. With this change of pace, she soon discovers she has a knack for stand-up comedy. She then begins to navigate the comedy industry in hopes of becoming a successful comedian. Season 2 concluded with Midge accepting an opportunity to open for singer Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain) on his tour. Brosnahan's Midge also spent the night with her ex-husband, Joel Maisel (Michael Zegen), in favor of her fiancé Benjamin Ettenberg (Zachary Levi).

In its two-season run, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has scored a plethora of awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in September 2018. Brosnahan, for her part, has earned recognition for her efforts as Midge via the Golden Globes, Emmys and Screen Actor's Guild.

"One of the things I love the most about this show … [is] it's about a woman who is finding her voice anew," Brosnahan, 28, said during her 2018 Golden Globes acceptance speech. "It's something that's happening all over the country right now. One of the most important ways that we can find and use our voices is to vote. So if you haven't already registered, do it on your cell phone right now. Vote, show up and bring a friend to the polls."
