Internet Can't Cope With How Medieval Italian Town Looks at Night

A model has gone viral on social media after sharing the "other side" of staying in a medieval-looking village in the north of Italy.

In a post recently shared on TikTok, under the username l1sa9s, the poster shows what the town of Apricale, where she's staying on holiday, looks like during the day, a bright idyllic village overlooking green mountains.

The second half of the clip, shows what the little town, which is located about an hour's drive from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, in France, looks at night, and it sure makes you feel like you're back in time.

A text overlay added to the clip says: "Other side of living in a medieval Italian village (night)."

The poster, a model originally from Ukraine, who currently lives in Dubai, and hopes one day to move to Italy for her career, told Newsweek that she accidentally discovered this "little heaven" with only 600 people, on a booking app and immediately decided to stay there for the holiday.

She said: "The medieval village is simply breathtaking, giant mountains filled with forests, a peaceful river, beautiful medieval architecture which was renovated from the inside to meet all comforts needed for life. The village has multiple cafes and restaurants as well as a small grocery!

"There are some hiking trails where people can experience the true grandeur of nature. There is everything needed to meet all comforts: electricity, hot water, heaters inside the houses and some houses even have AC."

Rome,Italy, is one of the top destinations for American travelers. According to Tripadvisor's latest Best of the Best Destinations Travelers' Choice Award, it's fifth on the list of the favorite international destinations, coming after Dubai, Bali, in Indonesia, and London, and Hanoi, Vietnam.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 20 million views and 4.7 million likes on the platform.
