Mega Millions Numbers, Results for 1/8/19: Did Anyone Win the $45 Million Jackpot Tuesday (Last) Night?

The latest Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday night was worth $45 million with a cash option of $27.3 million. Was anyone lucky enough to win Tuesday night's jackpot?

The winning numbers announced on Tuesday night at 11 p.m. EST were 13-26-29-38-64, Mega Ball 5, and Megaplier 5X, according to the Mega Millions website. No one was able to win the $45 million jackpot but there were 10 winners who matched 4 white balls and a Mega Ball, which was worth a prize of $10,000. Two other winners won $50,000 after selecting the Match 4 numbers and the Megaplier, according to the website. To check last night's numbers and see the winners, click here.

The next drawing will be held on Friday at 11 p.m. EST with a jackpot worth $50 million and a cash option of $30.1 million, the lottery website states. Click here to check numbers from previous drawings.

The Mega Millions lottery drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 11 p.m. EST. The popular lottery game is played in 44 states across the U.S. In order to play the game, lottery players will select five numbers ranging from one through 70 and then a sixth number ranging from one through 25, according to the lottery website.

The last person to hit the Mega Millions jackpot was someone from New York won the $425 million jackpot on New Year's Day. The winning ticket was sold on Long Island in New York at Brookville Auto Service, ABC News previously reported. The winning numbers announced Tuesday night were 34-44-57-62-70, Mega Ball 14 and Megaplier 4X, according to the Mega Millions website. The first person to ever hit the jackpot on New Year's Day was someone from Texas in 2008, according to the lottery website.

On Tuesday, Pennsylvania lottery officials told local newspaper Erie News Now a woman from Erie County collected her winnings of $4 million from a Mega Millions ticket. Leann W. matched all five white balls during the New Year's Day drawing, according to the local newspaper. The ticket was sold at the Giant Eagle GetGo gas station in Erie, Pennsylvania. Because the ticket was sold at the store, it will receive a $10,000 bonus, according to Erie News Now.

In a statement issued last week, Mega Millions warned lottery players about fake social media pages that are claiming to represent the popular lottery game.
The warning said that a Facebook page called the "Official Mega Millions" Facebook page was offering a "Holiday Mega Giveback" and telling lottery players it was giving away one million dollars to 500 families.
