Megan Fox Absolutely Blasts People Hating on 'Love Is Blind' Lookalike Chelsea Blackwell

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Megan Fox didn't hold back when it came to those who criticized Love Is Blind star Chelsea Blackwell's viral comments about looking like the actress.

"I didn't watch [the show], but I think in general, no one deserves to get bullied," the Transformers star told E! News in an interview published on Saturday, April 13. "I don't think she deserved that. I think people went way too hard."

Fox, 37, added that after seeing a photo of the brunette Blackwell, 31 — whose eye color and shape are strikingly similar to Fox's — that "a hundred thousand percent, people have told her, 'You kind of look like Megan Fox. So I believe she's telling the truth."

Moreover, Fox emphasized, "I hope like she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn't steal it from her. Mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years. So I hope that didn't happen to her. Best wishes and blessings."

Blackwell went viral in February during the sixth season of the reality show when she told love interest Jimmy Presnell that she gets compared to "one person, and it's just because I have dark hair and blue eyes."

Way before viewers and social media trolls spouted their disagreement, after seeing Blackwell face to face for the first time, Presnell, 29, claimed that "she definitely lied to me about … how she looked. Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox."

However, he added, "At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. I'm very attracted to her, I can work with that."

After social media trolls eviscerated her all over the internet, Blackwell shared a video encouraging "the people who have ever told me that I resembled her to come forward."

Interestingly enough, Fox's reaction was the opposite of what the Love Is Blind star — who admitted to sending the actress a letter of apology — predicted she'd respond.

Blackwell surmised that Fox would have been "like, 'Who is this chick who said my name? Like, get my name out of your mouth,'" she told E! News in February.

Fox, meanwhile, would be happy to know that Blackwell is remaining confident and tough through the whole ordeal.

"I am so much stronger than I ever thought I could be," she told the outlet at the time. "I don't know how I'm handling everything."
