Meghan Markle glammed up her baby bump for the Endeavour Fund Awards on Thursday night. The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, attended the London event and handed out awards to service members.
The organization—founded by Harry, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, in 2012—supports service members and veterans suffering from illness and injuries who have taken up sport as a form of recovery and rehabilitation. The awards honor those who have exceeded in athletics despite the nature of their ailments.
Markle, who is seven months pregnant, donned a white collared blouse and a floor-length black skirt, by Givenchy. The fashion house has seemingly become a staple for Markle, who wore a gown designed by Givenchy's creative director, Clare Waight Keller, on her wedding day last May. Markle's husband wore a formal grey suit.
The couple's appearance at the event marked their second time attending the Endeavour Funds together. Markle accompanied Harry to the awards ceremony in 2018 just a few months before they were wed.
Before handing out awards, Markle and Harry engaged with participants and supporters during a pre-ceremony reception. Of course, the couple's soon-coming baby was one of the biggest topics of discussion among guests.
Harry reportedly couldn't contain his excitement over becoming a father for the first time. He was heard telling one of the guests, "There's a heavy baby in there!" in reference to Markle's growing baby bump, according to People.
Markle, who was spotted cradling her pregnant belly throughout the evening, was heard telling another guest that her husband was "going to be the best dad."
Host of the awards ceremony, actor and documentarian Ross Kemp, told People of his conversation with the royals. "We talked about how they've got a puppy, and we got a puppy before we had our first boy," Kemp said. "It's a preparation for nappy changing and pooing basically."
