Meghan Markle Reunites With One of Her 'Suits' Costars in New Photos

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Meghan Markle sparked excitement among Suits fans as she reunited with her former co-star Abigail Spencer to help support a cause.

Markle and Spencer posed in matching graphic tees in support of the Alliance of Moms foundation, dedicated to aiding young parents in foster care. The series of images, shared on Instagram on Wednesday, April 17th, showcased not only their solidarity but also included Meghan's trusted ally, Kelly McKee, co-founder of the organization. Each sported a matching white tee emblazoned with the phrase "Love like a mother" in bold red lettering.

"When we speak about the people in our lives who lift us up when you need it with undeniable force of pure love I think of these two. You inspire me. You pick me up when I need it and you Love Like A Mother," the caption wrote.

The featured shirt in the photos is a direct contribution to the charity Alliance of Moms, ensuring that 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting young mothers within the Los Angeles foster care system, providing them with essential resources and assistance.

The caption continued: "Thank you for continuing to support the @allianceofmoms. For supporting this campaign and our youth. In doing so, you are supporting the mission to build bright futures for young parents who have experienced foster care."

Despite their time together as co-stars during the nine-season run of Suits, Markle and Spencer have maintained a strong bond beyond the show's conclusion in 2019. Spencer notably came to Markle's defense amidst allegations of bullying, stemming from claims that she mistreated royal aides before stepping down from her royal duties in March 2020.

"She's been there for me — and physically held me – in my darkest hours. After my dad died. After a gut-wrenching breakup she brought me into her home & nursed me back to health," she wrote about their friendship via an Instagram post in March 2021.

She continued: "I can't tell you the value of having another working mother I can lean on when the pressures of visibility & child-rearing woes become overwhelming. She's always been a safe harbor for me, someone I can fall apart in front of... and with. And I have."
