Meghan Markle's Stylish Start to 2024

Meghan Markle has gained a reputation as one of the fashion world's most talked-about figures, leaving fans and critics alike discussing and dissecting each sartorial move she makes.

Though Meghan may have increased the number of eyes on her wardrobe since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, she displayed a keen control of her public image and honing of her personal aesthetic long before then as an ambitious cog in the Hollywood machine.

As an actress, Meghan was photographed attending New York Fashion Week, sitting down to dinner with designers like Roland Mouret, and trying her hand at influencing through her lifestyle blog The Tig.

Since becoming the Duchess of Sussex, the royal unlocked new high fashion choices, becoming a loyal client of some of Paris' premiere couture houses.

Though not always praised for her fashion choices, Meghan continues to evolve her looks with each passing season.

Here, Newsweek looks at some of Meghan's most stylish outfits of 2024—so far.

Red Carpet Royal

For a surprise appearance at the red carpet premiere of the Bob Marley: One Love premiere in Jamaica on January 23, Meghan wore a striking all-black outfit with her classic paired-back style of accessorizing.

The duchess wore a dramatic black ballgown skirt from one of her favorite designers, Carolina Herrera, paired with a simple bodice with spaghetti straps.

Ice Duchess

In February, Meghan undertook a three-day visit to Canada with Prince Harry to mark the one-year waypoint to the 2025 Invictus Games, which will be held in Vancouver and Whistler.

On the first day of events, Meghan and Harry attended an adaptive skiing training session. The Duchess wore a layered look in white and nude tones, complementing her icy surroundings.

Meghan wore a standout quilted coat from Calvin Klein along with a pair of ice-white jeans and a matching knit blouse.

Scandalously Stylish

On the third day of the Invictus Canada visit, Meghan wore a high-fashion look reminiscent of the style made famous by one of her favorite TV characters, Olivia Pope on the ABC political drama, Scandal.

Like Pope (played by Kerry Washington), Meghan wore a large wrap coat in a share of beige, accessorized with elbow-length suede gloves, which elevated the look with a hint of avant-garde.

The duchess' coat was sourced from Canadian label, Sentaler, while her gloves were from one of her fashion failsafe designers, Max Mara.

Elegant Eveningwear

Wrapping the Canadian visit, Meghan and Harry attended a celebratory gala for Invictus 2025 sponsors and organizers in Vancouver.

Meghan wore a glamorous moss-green evening gown designed by Greta Constantine. The longline silhouette and asymmetric shoulder detail elongated the duchess' figure and was accessorized with a simple diamond necklace, bracelet and earrings.
