Mike Lindell Says Fox News Has Dropped MyPillow

Mike Lindell said this week that his advertisements for MyPillow have been dropped by Fox News, but a source says it's not without reason.

"Ever since I've been speaking out about our election platforms since January '21, they've been attacking my company, MyPillow, with cancel culture...and now Fox News," Lindell said while appearing on Steve Bannon's WarRoom show. "Fox News has cancelled MyPillow."

While speaking with Newsweek on Friday, Lindell further confirmed that his MyPillow ads were removed from Fox News and the company will no longer air commercials from Lindell.

"This was on Wednesday. I spent a day wondering what to do," Lindell told Newsweek. "It's very, very disturbing news."

Lindell told Newsweek that his media team was told by Fox News that they'd no longer be running his ads. According to Lindell, the media team reached back out to Fox News asking for a reason why but they have not yet heard back.

In response to Lindell's remarks, a source with knowledge told Newsweek that Lindell's partnership with Fox News was paused because the MyPillow CEO has been unable to pay for the commercials. According to the source, the media agency working with Lindell was informed of this.

"As soon as their account is paid, we would be happy to accept their advertising," a Fox News spokesperson told Newsweek.

Lindell, a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, said in July that his MyPillow company lost roughly $100 million in sales after he faced an array of legal fees for lawsuits brought by two voting machine companies. Following the 2020 election, Lindell repeatedly criticized Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic voting machines, claiming that they stole the election from Trump.

However, in November, Lindell told Bannon's WarRoom that MyPillow was doing "great," adding that "the MyPillow manufacturing floor is full, shipping is full, all the employees are working like crazy."

While speaking with Newsweek on Friday, Lindell said that he was unaware why his commercials would be removed from Fox News and speculated that it could be related to his recent hiring of former Fox Business host Lou Dobbs.

"LindellTV, we hired Lou Dobbs and his first airing was his first interview with Donald Trump on Monday night. I don't know if they're afraid we're going to pull all their business over and they're retaliating by canceling MyPillow. That would be my best guess," Lindell told Newsweek.

Lindell also told Newsweek that it is unlikely his MyPillow ads were a reason for the cancellation on Fox News saying that they are never political.

"If it's not the ad, why are you doing this to MyPillow? That's the disturbing part of this...it's definitely not the ads, the ads have nothing to do with it. They all get approved. I don't change my ads, it's all been the same. I don't make the ads political in any way," Lindell said.
