Mike Lindell Gives Update on MyPillow After Saying He Ran Out of Money

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has shared some good news about his company months after he said he had run out of money.

The Donald Trump ally has faced various financial challenges stemming from his election fraud claims, in which he alleges that Trump was the real winner of the 2020 presidential election. The unsubstantiated claims have led to mounting legal fees for Lindell, who said in July that MyPillow had lost $100 million in annual sales after massive cancellations from retailers.

However, things appear to be turning around for MyPillow and its founder, who offered good news about the company's production efforts while appearing on Wednesday's episode of the War Room podcast, which is hosted by Steve Bannon, a former top adviser to Trump.

"I am appeased because the MyPillow manufacturing floor is full, shipping is full, all the employees are working like crazy," Lindell said, after saying that MyPillow was doing "great."

Newsweek reached out by phone to Lindell for comment.

Lindell went on to thank the War Room followers for their support and also offered extreme discounts on his products to the podcast's listeners. "You're helping everything I'm doing out there," he said.

This is not the first time Lindell has offered steep discounts on MyPillow products. On Black Friday, he held a "super sale" for products listed on his website.

Many major retailers stopped stocking MyPillow products after Lindell became involved in defamation lawsuits from the voting machine companies Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems. Both companies accuse Lindell of severely damaging their reputations after he spread baseless claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

The lawsuits sent MyPillow into financial disarray. American Express slashed the company's line of credit in September, and Lindell's lawyers stopped representing him after he was unable to pay millions of dollars in legal fees. Lindell admitted to using $40 million of his own money in trying to overturn the election.

Lindell previously told Bannon that he refused to settle the lawsuits with Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, even if it meant bankrupting MyPillow. He has focused much of his energy on establishing plans to secure future elections and told Bannon on Monday that he was making progress in convincing counties to switch to paper ballots for the 2024 races.

Lindell has touted the importance of hand-counted ballots and said he was against the use of electronic voting machines. More than 200 counties committed to using paper ballots in 2024, according to the CEO.

"We are winning on every front, and this is good news," Lindell said during his Monday appearance on Bannon's podcast.
