Mike Lindell Thinks Donald Trump's Opponents Are 'Very Scared'

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said on Friday he believes former President Donald Trump's opponents in the 2024 election are "very scared."

Lindell, a loyal Trump ally, has been a vocal proponent of the former president's unproven claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen via widespread voter fraud. Lindell has said he has spent $40 million of his own money in efforts to try to overturn the election. He has since announced plans to secure the elections by reporting on wireless monitoring devices, which are designed to detect internet connectivity in voting machines.

Trump held on to his frontrunner position in the Republican primary field in Monday's Iowa caucus, winning in all, but one of the state's 99 counties, Johnson County. He has also been shown to be leading President Joe Biden in five out of the six key swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania, according to a poll by The New York Times and Siena College that was published in November. Meanwhile, polls have shown that Biden and Trump are neck-and-neck in a hypothetical November rematch, with some giving Biden the edge and some skewing for Trump.

In a Friday interview on his talk show on FrankSpeech, Lindell asked Christina Bobb, a lawyer for Trump and former One America News Network anchor, about the 2024 election, adding that he believes Trump's opponents are "very scared."

In response, Bobb, who works on Trump's Save America, a political action committee campaign, agreed with Lindell and said, "I think they really are. You and I have been working on the election integrity and security aspect since 2020. They are scared because they don't have that firm grasp on the election like they did in 2020 where they knew they had it rigged."

Bobb, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump's claims that the 2020 election was stolen, added that the former president's opponents are scared because they don't have a hold on the election, citing Trump's criminal charges as one way his opponents are trying to prevent the former president from being back in office.

"If they knew they had 100 percent had this election rigged and there was nothing that we could do to get Donald Trump in office, they wouldn't be pulling out all these crazy stops and indicting him four times. They're doing that because they know they don't have a single hold on the election," she said.

Newsweek has reached out to Lindell via email and to Bobb via X, formerly Twitter, for comment.

Trump is currently battling multiple legal issues as he faces a wave of indictments at both the state and federal levels.

On the federal level in regards to the 2020 election, special counsel Jack Smith has led the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation, accusing Trump of attempting to overturn the results of the election that led to the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. In August 2023, Trump was indicted on four counts by the DOJ in relation to the riot, including conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights.

The former president has maintained his innocence in all cases against him and has previously said the cases against him is politically motivated.
