Milwaukee Shooting Video Shows Bucks Fans Fleeing Gunfire After Game

Dramatic video shows fans at a Milwaukee Bucks-Boston Celtics game fleeing through the streets of Milwaukee on Friday as three people were shot in the vicinity of Fiserv Forum.

One man and two women were shot near the Deer District in the city outside Fiserv Forum, which is the home of the Milwaukee Bucks, and all three people had non-life threatening injuries.

WISN reporter Joyce Garbaciak shared a video showing fans running through the streets on Friday as she reported on the shooting near MLK and Highland as the game ended.

Those outside the area reportedly heard gunfire while there was about a minute left in the game's fourth quarter. The gunshots apparently caused many in the crowd to flee in several directions.

Police have said a 29-year-old man is in custody and a gun was recovered. Milwaukee police Captain Warren Allen identified two of the victims as 30-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl.

The girl was shot in the leg and the man was shot in the foot. Both were taken to hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The third victim was a 26-year-old woman who drove herself to the hospital.

There were multiple shooting incidents in Milwaukee on Friday and three people were killed in three separate shootings, according to a report from Milwaukee's Fox 6.

A 23-year-old man died in hospital on Friday from gunshot injuries after a shooting incident at 22nd and Keefe, while a 33-year-old man died at the scene following another shooting at 22nd and Keefe later in the day.

There was another fatal shooting on Vienna and Vel R. Phillips. The victim has been identified as an adult male.

A 24-year-old man was shot and inured at 91st and Marion and taken to hospital for treatment, while another 24-year-old man was injured in a shooting at Lake Drive and Kenilworth. The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

Milwaukee police are investigating the shootings and seeking suspects.

Milwaukee Bucks Chief Communications Officer Barry Baum directed all inquiries about the Deer District shooting to the Milwaukee Police Department. The incident took place during Game 6 between the Bucks and the Boston Celtics as 11,000 had gathered in the Deer District for a watch party before the game.

About two hours after the shooting near the Deer District, police attended an incident in the Water Street and Juneau Avenue area. Several ambulances were on the scene and 10 people were reportedly shot. There was a heavy police presence.

Newsweek has asked the Milwaukee Police Department for comment.
