The biggest news in gaming on Thursday was the reveal that Minecraft is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
And while it may or may not have caused Twitter to crash for a little while, there were many gamers with differing opinions on one of the most played games of all-time being included in Nintendo's premier fighting game.
If you're still on the fence about Minecraft Steve, Alex, Zombie and Enderman appearing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you may want to give series director Mashairo Sakurai a chance. This Saturday, Sakurai will have a special stream that shows off everything that the Minecraft characters can do in the fighting game.

The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stream will start Saturday, October 3, at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
HOW TO WATCH MINECRAFT STEVE SMASH ULTIMATE DEMO ONLINE
Nintendo will be streaming the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on its YouTube and Twitch accounts.
The YouTube stream has yet to go live, but you can visit the official Nintendo channel to stay up to date.
Nintendo's Twitch channel will also stream the Minecraft Steve gameplay in Super Smash Bros.Ultimate.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Nintendo has confirmed that a release date for Minecraft Steve will be revealed during Saturday's stream. It's likely that the new DLC character will be released in late October/early November, so you'll want to tune in to see when you can start playing as Steve, Alex and the rest of the Minecraft characters.
Sakurai's special demo will showcase everything that the Minecraft characters can do in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Watching this will give players an idea about how to play as and counter these characters.
Minecraft Steve and Alex are part of the second Challenger Pack in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which also includes a new stage and seven music tracks from the Minecraft series. Sakurai will likely show off this new stage and music while also explaining the process of getting them into the game.
Most importantly, there won't be another character reveal during Saturday's stream. There are four more characters coming in Fighters Pass Vol. 2, and they will be revealed in their own time. This particular stream is dedicated to Minecraft Steve and Alex.
Steve and Alex will be available to players who purchase Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 or who purchase Challenger Pack 7 separately for $5.99. By purchasing Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for $29.99, players will get access to Steve and Alex, along with previously released fighter Min Min, from ARMS, and four more yet-to-be-announced Challenger Packs as they release. Each pack includes one fighter, one stage and multiple music tracks.
