Miriam Margolyes Goes 'Seriously Off Script' in Viral Fan Birthday Video

Fans of Miriam Margolyes have come to expect some off-the-cuff inappropriateness, and she didn't disappoint in a recent Cameo video message which has gone viral on TikTok.

Lending her voice for a birthday message to a German fan, the message descended into a left-wing swearing tirade where she slammed Hitler and admitted she didn't know who Harry Styles was.

The video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times online with thousands of comments celebrating Margolyes eccentricity.

The 80-year-old Margolyes is best known to international audiences as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter movies.

The award-winning actress and author, Margolyes has courted controversy on several occasions throughout her career for speaking her mind and often using strong language on live daytime TV.

"I forgotten what the word in German is for lesbian. But anyway, whatever it is, I'm it," Margolyes said in her Cameo message for a German girl named Christine.

TikTok user itsbrixtongirl shared the entire clip of the Cameo message on her account.

Margolyes continued, "You're seeing Harry Styles four times this year. Forgive me who is Harry Styles? Should I know him? Is he a singer? Or is he your boyfriend?"

The idea of the messages is that the person sending in the request provides information about the person the Cameo message is intended for. "I think Germany is a fabulous country. I wish it hadn't had Hitler. I'm sure you do, too," Margolyes said when discussing Christine's country of origin.

This riff led Margolyes down another path. "I'm very political. I'm very much on the left. So if you're on the right, f*** off, c*** face."

"You're only 32 and of course you know nothing. That's the truth, darling. And you know what? I know nothing as well." Margolyes concluded the message, "I'm very happy to be able to wish you a glorious sex-obsessed birthday. Peace and Love."

It's not the first time Margolyes Cameo videos have gone viral on TikTok as she has gained a following for her sex-filled messages.

Users pay celebrities on Cameo for personalized messages, and the celebrity is able to set their own price. "Her cost per message is £133 and if they're all like this I think it's well worth it," commented TikTok user Kay Spearman.

"Me after five minutes talking to a complete stranger outside a nightclub," said ahotbowlofsoup commenting on the random nature of Margolyes message.

Sophieenrose called the actress "queen miriam" while Seehowitgrows called her "a gem."

According to he Cameo website, Margolyes' latest rates are £138 (approx. $170) for a personalized message for an individual, or £964 (approx. $1189) for a business message for a company or employees.
