Mom Shares Hilarious Warning About Dancing While Pregnant: 'Got the Moves'

A mom who couldn't stop dancing throughout her pregnancy has shared a hilarious warning to other parents about what it can do to their child. And they are going to need some dancing shoes.

Even when she was heavily pregnant, McCall Cook from Utah couldn't resist showing off her dance moves at any opportunity. It certainly looked like she was enjoying herself judging by all the dancing, but now she is having to live with the consequences.

In a now-viral TikTok video, Cook warned women that "if you dance like this while you're pregnant," it can have a hilarious impact on the child, too. After the throwback footage of Cook dancing while pregnant, the clip flashes forward to reveal her daughter, Hazel, displaying her similar moves.

Cook told Newsweek that "anytime someone puts on a good song or starts chanting, Hazel starts dancing like that." As the toddler simply loves to wiggle around whenever she can, Cook has even started shouting "go Hazel, go Hazel, go Hazel," to cheer her on at times.

Since the TikTok video was shared online, it has delighted millions of followers, already being viewed more than 14.3 million times and gaining over 2.7 million likes.

While not every woman may find themselves dancing quite so much during their pregnancy, it is still strongly encouraged to remain physically active. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that pregnant or postpartum women participate in a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise per week.

The CDC adds that it is better to spread this out, such as by doing 30 minutes of brisk walking a day for five days each week. It is also safe for women who exercised regularly to continue their workout regime while pregnant. If expectant moms do have any concerns about continuing to exercise, or perhaps adjusting their workouts, they should consult their doctor to work out the most-suitable plan.

Whether it's running, walking, or dancing, staying active while pregnant offers numerous health benefits; it can improve your overall mood, maintain heart and lung health, and aid weight management.

Since sharing the adorable video of Hazel dancing from such a young age, Cook has loved seeing the numerous responses she has received. She told Newsweek that the social-media reaction has been wild across TikTok, Instagram and Twitter. One thing is for sure, Hazel may only be young, but she already knows how to command a crowd. Her mom even joked that "she's got better moves than me" already.

The TikTok post has amassed more than 6,000 comments at the time of writing, with many people writing that she is her mom's mini-me. One comment reads: "Adorable baby girl, she got the moves."

Another person responded: "She said, I was born knowing these moves!"

A third TikTok user wrote that Hazel is the "life of the party! She's invited everywhere."
