'Monster Hunter World' Deviljho Location: How to Find and Kill the New Beast

The latest update to Monster Hunter World brings the behemoth Deviljho for hunters to kill. The Deviljho is pegged by Capcom as one of the more terrifying beasts hunters will encounter in all of Monster Hunter World, so you know it means business.

However, like other monsters, you'll need to track and find the Deviljho within the game's expansive map before you can try and take it down. You'll need to know its weaknesses and strengths before heading into battle. Here's everything you need to know about the Deviljho.

WHERE TO FIND DEVILJHO

To encounter the Deviljho in Monster Hunter World, you need to complete the second main Zora Magdaros quest to unlock the Elder Recess. When you gain access to this area, go on an Expedition to the Elder Recess to start your search for the Deviljho. The Deviljho can be found in areas 5 and 6 and you can search for its tracks. Follow them until you find the Deviljho.

Once you've encountered the Deviljho (you don't have to necessarily kill it) speak to the Jovial Scholar in the market to unlock Special Assignments. The Special Assignment "The Food Chain Dominator" will be posted on the boards and you can take on the Deviljho over and over.

HOW TO BEAT DEVILJHO

The Deviljho is weakest against Dragon and Thunder elemental weapons, so go into battle with those in mind. Ice elemental weapons should NOT be used because the Deviljho is strong against them. If inflicting status effects is your thing, the Deviljho is moderately susceptible.

When confronting the Deviljho, the main tactic is to not face it head-on, as it utilizes a variety of bite attacks. It can sometimes perform three to five bites at once. The Deviljho also has an attack where it smashes its head into the ground and scrapes the ground upwards, so be sure to not only avoid the initial smash but the follow-up.

The Deviljho's weak spots are its head and chest, so it'll take skill to avoid the monster's attacks and strike at the same time.
