What MCU TV Shows Are Coming to Disney+ After 'Ms Marvel'?

Ms. Marvel is coming to its end, with the season finale coming to Disney+ on July 13.

Disney+ might be closing one chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but there is plenty more to come from the streamer for superhero fans.

Among the upcoming projects already announced are another season of Loki, a holiday special from the Guardians of the Galaxy, plus a series that will expand the world of Wakanda.

The MCU will also expand with new characters on TV, with shows for Marvel deep-cuts like Echo, Wonder Man and Iron Heart in development at the company.

Here's what Marvel TV series are coming to Disney+ following the end of Ms. Marvel.

At time of writing, only one Disney+ MCU series has a release date. That is She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, coming to the streamer on August 17, 2022.

The new show stars Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany as the eponymous She-Hulk, a lawyer who develops Hulk powers after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).

Though that series is the only one to have a full release date, there are also two upcoming specials on the calendar.

In October, Marvel fans can expect an hour-long Halloween special, reportedly based on the 'Werewolf By Night' character. Gael García Bernal (Old) and Laura Donnelly (The Nevers) have been cast in the as-yet-untitled special in undisclosed roles.

And because Thor: Love and Thunder saw Korg (Taika Waititi) mention that Thor had a dalliance with a werewolf, a Chris Hemsworth appearance is not out of the question.

The second 2022 MCU special is a The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, fitting between the team's appearance in Love and Thunder and their upcoming threequel, coming to theaters in 2023.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff are all set to star in this Christmassy instalment of the franchise.

After that, one Marvel Disney+ show has finally finished filming. That is Secret Invasion, lead by Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury as he tries to stop a Skrull invasion.

This show was teased as far back as the post-credit scene for No Way Home, in which Fury was seen commanding a Skrull ship. Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman and Don Cheadle reprise their Marvel roles, starring alongside new MCU stars Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

At least three new Marvel TV shows are currently filming, with two additional animated shows also in production.

Now shooting are Loki Season 2, as well as shows featuring Ironheart and Echo to the MCU. The former, a woman who build an Iron Man-like suit of armor, will be played by Dominique Thorne (If Beale Street Could Talk). The latter sees Alaqua Cox reprise her role from Hawkeye. None of these shows have release dates yet, but Echo is set to come out in 2023.

Those two animated shows are: Spider-Man: Freshman Year, a prequel that will tell the origin story of Tom Holland's Peter Parker, plus Marvel Zombies, a spin-off to previous animated show What If.

Also in pre-production or development at Marvel are the following:

  • Armor Wars, which will see James Rhodes (played by Don Cheadle) dealing with the aftermath of Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) death.
  • A Wakanda-set series exploring more of the world of Black Panther.
  • Agatha: House of Harkness, a WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn
  • Wonder Man, telling the story of the eponymous Avenger
  • A Daredevil series, which brings back Charlie Cox as the character he played in the eponymous Netflix series
  • A Nova series, about a super-powered member of the intergalactic Nova Corps police force.

Ms. Marvel is streaming in full now on Disney+.
