Update | MTV's Catfish has resumed filming after a hiatus due to sexual harassment claims against executive producer and host Nev Schulman. Schulman was accused by a former subject on the reality show about internet relationships and fake profiles.
Upon resuming filming, MTV told The New York Daily News, "Although we never received a formal complaint, MTV and Critical Content immediately engaged an independent third-party investigator." The claims were found to be "not credible and without merit."
The harassment claims came from Ayissha Morgan in a set of YouTube videos. Morgan appeared on a Season 4 episode of Catfish.
In her videos, Morgan didn't name Schulman directly. Instead, she referred to one of the hosts of the show as "Jack." Morgan, who identifies a lesbian, told her YouTube followers that Jack had questioned her sexuality, making inappropriate suggestions and inquiries such as, "I just feel like you haven't met the right guy yet. Do you think I'm attractive? Have you ever had sex with a guy?'"
Morgan alleged that Jack's remarks became crude, quoting, "Well I think you should try it, I have a big d**k, I would tear your a** up."
Schulman denied the allegations to E! News in a statement reading, "The behavior described in this video did not happen, and I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions—but these claims are false."
When filming resumed, Schulman greeted Twitter followers with messages of thanks.

Schulman is married to writer Laura Perlongo. The couple had a child, Cleo James, in 2016, and have since been active in social justice projects concerning women's rights and parenting. They also host a Facebook series, We Need to Talk, which focuses on modern relationships.
