'Fired Yet?': New Employee Sparks Hilarious Debate Over Peculiar Brownies

Starting a new job can be hard for some people, so what's better than bringing in some freshly baked goods to sweeten up the day? A new employee has gone viral for sending her office a box of brownies, with a questionable look to them.

In a Reddit post, a colleague of the new employee, who goes by the username u/Riabetes94, shared a picture of the box of brownies, with a caption that said: "New employee starting today brought 'brownies' in for everyone with this note."

The note, which was left right by the brownies, read: "Holy c**p, I'm so excited to work with you all! Thanks for having me!"

According to research from Microsoft, about 50 percent of leaders say their company already requires or is planning to require employees to return to the office to work full-time in person, in the next year.

Although the same study also found that 52 percent of workers don't really agree with the plan, saying that they are thinking of switching to a full-time remote or hybrid job in 2022.

The post which was first shared on Monday on the r/funny subreddit, has gone viral in the last 24 hours and has reached over 88,400 upvotes and 3,740 comments.

Most users thought the brownies very much resembled...something else. Kaimonk joked: "Some gestures really show that you give a s**t." And zuzg added: "It's the little s**ts in life."

Another user, greenroom628, commented: "looking for a new job is a lot of work...completely understandable that he's all pooped out." And OkCan494 said: "They literally gave a s**t."

Hylianhaxorus said: "I appreciate the joke but they look too real and I could never eat one. They look... wet." And ActuallyItsSumnus corrected them: "For baked goods, the term is usually 'moist'." Then dirtywater83 added: "A warm, moist poo."

Another user, magichronx, suggested: "I'd be afraid that there's at least one real turd in there and you just have to play turd roulette for a brownie." And thisismybirthday joked: "you haven't lived until you've played turd roulette."

"Chew it and mash it up in-between your teeth and then grin devilishly to the new hire. Show dominance." said MayIPikachu. And rockbud answered: "Ummm you first."

Dum_Boi123 said: "Are they fired yet?" TheGreatHogdini pointed out: "Needs more nuts in them... and corn." No-Patient said: "Honestly I'd have loved to see a piece or two of candy corn in these." And KayD12364 added: "Right. Physically I could not eat it."
