Blizzard has revealed four new Hearthstone cards for the game's latest expansion, The Witchwood . In a Hearthside Chat with Dean Ayala, the lead designer described the game's newest archetype: odd and even cost cards. Replacing the likes of Reno Jackson and Kazakus Priest, this new archetype, applicable across all classes, will be a terrifying but powerful force to reckon with. Decks like Taunt Warrior and Face Hunter will most certainly make a comeback, since they can easily utilize the increased Hero Power.
Here are the new cards revealed in the video:
(Mage) Black Cat, Common, 3 Mana 3/3 Beast, Spell Damage +1, Battlecry: If your deck has only odd-Cost cards, draw a card.
(Druid) Gloom Stag, Epic, 5 Mana 2/6 Beast, Taunt, Battlecry: If your deck has only odd-Cost cards, gain +2/+2.
(Shaman) Markspark Eel, Rare, 2 Mana 2/3 Beast, Battlecry: If your deck has only even-Cost cards, deal 2 damage.
(Priest) Glitter Moth, Epic, 5 Mana 4/4 Beast, Battlecry: If your deck has only odd-Cost cards, double the Health of your other minions.
Unless Blizzard decides to reveal any more cards themselves, the rest of The Witchwood expansion will start to be revealed March 26 on the PlayHearthstone Twitch channel. The rest of the expansion will roll out of content creators and media outlets
