Though he was once ambivalent on the issue, Donald Trump moved to a hardline anti-abortion stance during his election campaign, welcomed by conservative Christian groups, and decried by women's rights activists.

Since taking office, he's already moved to curtail reproductive rights enjoyed by women in the U.S. and around the world. Most significantly, his reintroduction of the so-called "global gag rule," which denies U.S. funding to NGOs that promote or offer referrals for abortion, will reverberate across the globe.

What will the impact of Trump's anti-abortion moves be? And what other women's rights might he seek to curtail? Newsweek's Josh Lowe and Mirren Gidda debated the issue with Women's Equality Party leader Sophie Walker and Fiorella Nash from the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children.

Newsweek's Foreign Service is recorded and edited by Jordan Saville.
