Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion Meme Sparks Laughs

The music industry is no stranger to feud or rivalry, with Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion's beef becoming a talking point online recently, and fans have now taken to humorous memes as new songs from both artists drop.

Megan's recent song "Hiss", released January 26, is said to take aim at Nicki's husband, registered sex offender Kenneth Petty, with the song referencing Megan's Law. This is a federal law requiring law-enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders. Newsweek has contacted Nicki Minaj's manager and Megan Thee Stallion's talent agent via email for comment.

Nicki, 41, previewed her new song "Big Foot" on Instagram, just hours after Megan's hit aired, with the song officially landing today, hitting back at Megan with lyrics allegedly mocking her height. Fans also believe it jabs at her ex following allegations of Tory Lanez shooting Megan in her feet after an argument in July 2020. Song lyrics in "Big Foot" include: "Bad b**** she like 6 foot/ I call her big foot/ the b**** fell off/I said get up on your good foot."

The two rappers' feud has been ongoing for a while, but a meme shared on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday has gone viral and softened the blows for fans.

Shared by account @jjasshole, the viral meme showed actor Josh Peck as his character from Drake and Josh squinting. It was captioned with a rhetoric conversation with the caption that read, "Nobody...[said]," followed by no text, then "Nicki Minaj: [said]" followed by the image Josh with the word "Megan" over the top.

The scene references how Megan, in the TV show Drake and Josh played by Miranda Cosgrove, would pull pranks on her brothers.

As expected, the feud has seen fans pick sides, commenting on the meme with phrases like, "Nicki is my queen," or, "I'm team Megan."

"So are we all agreeing we're with Megan ??" and "Why must Nicki always have a problem with some female rapper of this generation? I do not understand that. What did Megan do?" were two questions posed by social-media users.

Although divided by loyalty to each artist, one thing most could agree on was that the posters found the meme hilarious.

"This took me out" was another statement, with "Underrated tweet fr [for real]" coming from another amused onlooker.

"I laughed at this wayyyyyyy too hard. Megan was on go from DAY 1 with Drake and Josh," a dedicated supporter wrote.

Someone trying to stay clear of the feud posted: "I'm not even tryna engage with this drama, but this just got me bad."

"I was getting annoyed with all the tweets but this one seriously made me chuckle," one X user commented.

Nicki has been linked to several feuds, from snubs of Kanye West, to an online spat with Latto over Grammy Awards nominations, and even she allegedly pushed a fan in London a few years ago.
