Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage bested controversial U.S. President Donald Trump to claim the prize for villain of the year at the NME Awards Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, pop star Beyoncé was awarded hero of the year.
Farage, who campaigned for Britain's exit from the European Union in 2016, took the dubious villain distinction ahead of Trump, who won last year, former British prime minister David Cameron, former London mayor Boris Johnson and divisive columnist Katie Hopkins.
Beyoncé's hero of the year win comes after she lost the album of the year prize to Adele at the Grammys Sunday.
The "Formation" singer lost out on best international female at the NME Awards to Christine and the Queens, however.
Other winners included Bastille for best album, grime artist Skepta for best British male artist, M.I.A. for best British female artist and Frank Ocean for best international male artist.
Biffy Clyro were awarded best British band and Kosovan-British singer Dua Lipa won best new artist.
