Oliver Anthony Shares First Photo After Welcoming Baby Boy

Country singer-songwriter Oliver Anthony has stunned fans with a photo announcing his new baby's birth.

The singer's life has changed a lot this year after he released his single "Rich Men North of Richmond" independently in August, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now, it looks like his life is about to change again, with the star sharing an image of his new bundle of joy on his Instagram.

The photo was captioned: "Mission success."

The photo shows the baby wrapped up, and he has taken after his father, having a head of red hair.

Within 10 minutes, the post was liked over 11,000 times by his fans.

One smitten fan commented: "Welcome to the new world little one! Congratulations and many blessings to you all."

Another said: "He's absolutely perfect. Well done mama! Congratulations to you both!"

The baby's hair was a real talking point online, with one fan adding: "Oh my goodness. Look at all that hair! Congrats," with another pipping up: "Congratulations to yall!! Look at that red hair!"

His baby was due at the beginning of November, with the star hoping to fit in a performance before his birth. When he announced he was expecting a boy, he said: "I had to squeeze in one more show before our baby boy comes at the beginning of November, and there's no place like home."

It is unclear at present if the singer will still perform at the Joan Perry Brock Center in Farmville, Virginia, on October 28 as previously announced.

It has been reported before that he and his wife Tiffany already have two children together.

Newsweek has contacted Anthony's agent via email for comment.

Since August and his meteoric rise to stardom, the singer has hit the top of streaming charts, grown his social media following by thousands and been discussed on Fox News and at the first Republican presidential debate.

Finding the humor and irony in his first song, which includes lyrics, "These rich men north of Richmond, Lord knows they all just wanna have total control" being discussed at the presidential debate, he said: "It was funny seeing it at the presidential debate because it's like, I wrote that song about those people, you know? So, for them to have to sit there and listen to that, it cracks me up."
