Olivia Culpo Paid for Christian McCaffrey's Mom to Be in Super Bowl Suite

Christian McCaffrey's mom will be in a suite for his Super Bowl debut on Sunday thanks to his "moneybags" fiancée, Olivia Culpo.

On her podcast, Your Mom, Lisa McCaffrey said that she looked into a suite, but they couldn't afford one, "not even Christian Moneybags over there, nor moneybags Olivia."

"So we are not in a suite," Lisa said. "I'll tell you that right now."

She went on to discuss the family's arrangement, which was a challenge because she wanted eight tickets together. Fortunately, the problem was solved shortly afterward: Culpo posted an Instagram that it was "fake news" she couldn't afford a suite.

"Happy birthday Lisa I bought you a suite," Culpo wrote.

Newsweek reached out to Culpo via social media requesting comment.

Per the Suite Experience Group, a "Club Suite" package cost $950,000 as of Monday morning, which gets the purchaser a "semi-private" suite with no side walls. A food and alcoholic beverage package is included, along with 20 suite tickets. Meanwhile, the "Owners' Club Suite" package costs $1.8 million and is fully private, with a private bathroom, kitchenette, and options for catering. It also includes 20 suite tickets and a food and beverage package.

Model and former Miss Universe Culpo and McCaffrey got engaged in April after nearly four years of dating. She told Entertainment Tonight in 2022 that she broke a self-imposed rule about never dating athletes again for McCaffrey.

"He's just the best. I feel like he is really everything that I could ever ask for," Culpo told the outlet. "So I never have to worry about anything. I think that was the reason why I didn't want to date an athlete, no offense, because there is a reputation there."

McCaffrey had another huge season, tallying an NFL-high 1,459 rushing yards on 272 carries in addition to 564 receiving. He scored 14 touchdowns rushing and seven as a receiver, and he was named First-Team All-Pro.

McCaffrey scored two touchdowns and finished with 90 yards on 20 carries in the 49ers' NFC Championship win over the Detroit Lions.

"I just think we have a really resilient group that's been through a lot together with a lot of experience," McCaffrey told reporters after the game. "I think when you've gone through hard times—I look back a year ago [in their NFC Championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles], it kind of hardens you and makes your team a lot closer."

McCaffrey added that the Kansas City Chiefs, who the 49ers will face in the Super Bowl, are a "great team" and a "big challenge on a big stage."

"I think a lot comes in at you at once, but there's always that thing in that back of your head that we've got another one," McCaffrey said.

The 49ers and Chiefs will kick off, in front of a presumably very comfortable Lisa McCaffrey, at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
