Adult film actress Olivia Nova was found dead in Las Vegas on Sunday. The actress, who was originally from Minnesota, was only 20 years old. Her passing marks the third death of an adult film actress in two months.
Nova, who launched her career in March 2017, was considered a rising star in the adult film industry. LA Direct Models, her agency, released a statement on Monday confirming her death. "While only represented by Direct Models for a short period of time, we came to know Olivia as a beautiful girl with a very sweet and gentle personality," the statement read. "Another one, way too young. We are beyond shocked...Rest in peace, sweet angel."
The cause of Nova's death has yet to be revealed.
Before entering the porn industry, Nova was a child model; she booked her first job at the age of 12. During a September interview with photographer Dave Naz, Nova said that her interest in porn began after she was approached by an adult film agent in early 2017. "I don't exactly know what attracted me to [pornographic] modeling," Nova said. "I was actually scouted one day. A woman just gave me her card, and then I was kinda just rushed into the industry."

Despite being "pretty nervous" at the start, the young actress soon had her own pornographic social media channel and blog. Nova had over 21,000 followers on Twitter at the time of her death; many of them expressed their condolences.
Under the representation of Direct Models, Nova worked on approximately 20 pornographic modeling shoots, a rep for the agency told Newsweek Tuesday. Nova also performed in videos for Brazzers, Vixen, Naughty America, Digital Sin and a number of other pornographic sites.
Although she was gaining popularity in the porn industry, Nova told Naz she had other aspirations: "I plan on graduating school in 10 years. I have this huge project, it's like a nonprofit, that I want to be a part of."
Nova's death comes just one month after the deaths of fellow adult film actresses August Ames and Yurizan Beltran. Ames, 23, committed suicide in her California home on December 5, just days after being cyberbullied on social media. Beltran, 31, whose stage name was Yuri Luv, accidentally overdosed on prescription pills on December 13.
Back in November, Adult Film Hall of Famer Shyla Stylez died in her sleep at her mother's home in British Columbia. She was just 35.
