One Direction fans were left confused today when a new video was uploaded to the band's YouTube.
The video in question was new music by singer and former The X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson, not the beloved boyband.
The British reality television show propelled Ferguson to fame in 2010 when she reached the final alongside One Direction and that year's winner, Matt Cardle.
The 35-year-old also famously dated Zayn Malik for a short time.
One Direction has been on hiatus for a number of years with all members pursuing solo projects.
So fans were more than surprised when they received a notification from YouTube saying that a new video was uploaded to the group's inactive channel.
Instead of a video relating to the boyband, numerous people report seeing a video of Ferguson and her The X Factor cover of "Teardrops." The video has since been deleted.
This prompted confusion among fans and led to Ferguson becoming a trending topic on Twitter on Monday.
"Not me getting hyped to get a One Direction YouTube notif and it turns out to be Rebecca Ferguson music ?!?" reads one tweet.
While another added: "hi @onedirection what the f***? why are you posting videos of rebecca ferguson i thought you were on hiatus."

Newsweek has contacted representatives of One Direction for comment.
After trending on Twitter, Ferguson tweeted that she was "amused by this mistake" in a series of posts.
"Like I said I'm the new member! Have a good day!" the singer wrote in one post.
In another one, Ferguson said: "I will also be managing them! They can leave the management contract whenever they like and work as little or as much as they like!
"I also will not be running their companies for them as a director! They will run their own! Their relationships will not be manipulated!"
The mistake comes after Ferguson recently made explosive claims about her management company on social media.
"I was forced into a contract despite running away from the solicitor and insisting I did not want to sign," she alleged in a series of Twitter posts in July, via Grazia, though she did not name anyone specifically.
"I lived on limited food a day. I was told when I could eat and drink. I was allowed three hours of sleep per night! I was placed on a constant course of antibiotics because my body was so run down..."
