Overwatch 2: How to Unlock Titles

Overwatch 2 is officially out, and players all around the world are jumping into the latest hero shooter that Blizzard has to offer. While there are plenty of Legendary Skins to unlock, as well as plenty of Battle Pass levels to learn, some players have found themselves searching for more information on the game's various Titles.

Titles are essentially just a nod that the player has overcome some kind of a challenge, a way for them to show off their prowess to others in-game. Titles can be acquired by all players in Overwatch 2, though unlocking a new Title isn't always going to be easy. Here's everything you need to know.

To start unlocking Titles and show off your prowess at completing challenges. There are three distinct categories for challenges: Overwatch, Competitive, and Battle Pass. Each of these categories offers different types of Titles, and you can unlock most of them by completing associated challenges.

To see which challenges offer a Title, you'll want to make your way to the Battle Pass screen in Overwatch 2. From here, select the Challenges option, and then navigate over to the Competitive tab to see all the Competitive challenges tied to a Title.

Again, these Titles will require different things. For example, one Title will be rewarded to players who finish Season 1 of the game in the Top 500 competitive players. That is, of course, a tough mountain to climb, and thus players who do it will be rewarded for their efforts.

Other Titles can be rewarded for reaching certain milestones within the Battle Pass. To unlock those Titles, you'll want to focus on leveling up your Battle Pass, which can be done by completing Weekly, Daily, and even Seasonal challenges within the game.

Once you have unlocked a Title, you can make your way over to the Customization tab in the Career Profile to select the Title. Upon equipping it, you'll be able to see the Title underneath your name within the game's stat screen. Again, these Titles are just a way to show off your prowess at completing certain challenges, and so they aren't exceptionally showy when you have them equipped.

Overwatch 2 players have a lot to look forward to as Season One of the game runs on. Not only does this month bring the game's first event, a special Halloween event, but it also gives players their first taste of the PvE and story content in Overwatch 2.
