Paralyzed Cats Racing to Get Breakfast Melt Hearts: 'Joy of My Life'

Two paralyzed cats melted hearts online after a video of them racing to breakfast went viral on social media, making people laugh "much harder" than they should.

In a post shared on TikTok this month by the cats' owner under the username Mroliverwobbles, the two cats, Mr. Wobbles and Johnny, can be seen running to their breakfast bowls, racing against each other to get there first.

The viral clip comes with a caption on behalf of Mr. Wobbles that says: "The race to our breakfast! Meet my paralyzed brother, Johnny." the poster also added that the two felines are the "are the joy of [their] life."

According to PetMD, paralysis and paresis often manifest as weakened or diminished movement, muscle fatigue, weak reflexes, decreased range of motion, or decreased ability to perform certain motions.

It can be broken down by body part, including hemiparesis, meaning weakness on one side of the body; hemiplegia: inability to move one side of the body, paraparesis: weakness in the back legs; paraplegia: inability to move the back legs, tetraparesis: weakness in all limbs, and tetraplegia: inability to move all limbs.

Paralysis in cats can occur suddenly or become worse over time, and it can have many causes. Complete and partial paralysis are usually due to a blockage in the signaling pathway from the brain to the limbs or body parts, which can be caused by cancer, drugs and/or chemicals, clot formation, infection, intervertebral disc disease, spinal trauma and toxins.

The viral clip quickly attracted animal lovers from across the platform, receiving over 20.3 million views and 2.6 million likes.

One user, Tetnis, commented: "Where can I find a wobble cat." And nookiecookie said: "I thought the Black one was making funny of the orange one." Think Shink wrote: "Bless you for taking care of them. Know that they appreciate you!"

Another user, BissoJr, said: "I laughed so hard and kinda feel bad." And Lora added: "Lord forgive me." u.already.kno.trisha said: "I probably laughed much harder than I should have."

Another user, Tjustine777, said: "The way Johnny bent that corner, even with two arms he said he gone win REGARDLESS." And Bakugo wrote: "Heh them cats said 'heh I May be wobbly and paralyzed BUT NOTHING CAN STOP BREAKFAST!!!!!"
