Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will "gamble" on the fitness of star attacker Philippe Coutinho in the crucial English Premier League game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, reports say.
Coutinho returned from an ankle injury in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg defeat to Southampton on Wednesday at St Mary's Stadium, playing the final 29 minutes of the game. Such is his importance to Liverpool that, according to The Daily Telegraph, Klopp is considering playing Coutinho from the start against United despite a lack of match fitness.
Klopp will also make a late decision on captain Jordan Henderson, who has been out since New Year's Eve with a heel injury.
Victory over United, coupled with a Chelsea defeat to Leicester City on Saturday, would move Klopp's team within two points of the English Premier League summit.
