'Pokémon Go' Research Task Update: October Missions Include Shiny Krabby

The October update has come to Pokémon Go, and with it the popular mobile game brings new Research Tasks and Breakthroughs involving Suicune and Water-type Pokémon.

Starting Oct. 1 at 4 p.m. EDT, Pokémon Go players will begin to notice changes in the mobile game. More Water types will be rewards for completing certain tasks, and the Research Breakthrough will include Suicune this month.

Obtain seven stamps will give players an encounter with Suicune, the third of the Legendary Beasts of the Johto Region. If you have six stamps already, we suggest waiting until after 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 to complete a Research Task and obtain a seventh stamp. Suicune won't appear before then.

Reports of Shiny Krabby appearing in Pokémon Go have begun to pop up as well as another pattern for Spinda.

Here's a list of the new research tasks for October separated by item rewards and Pokémon encounters. Note that this list is still being updated.
