Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Great Tusk Location

Great Tusk is one of the many new Pokemon that players can find and acquire in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokemon, which is only available in Pokemon Scarlet, is both a Paradox Pokemon and one of the important Titan Pokemon that you face off against in the main storyline.

Getting your hands on Great Tusk isn't as easy as finding the Pokemon out in the wild, as it actually requires you to complete a good portion of the game before you can even catch it. In this article, you'll learn the two main ways you can catch Great Tusk and add it to your party.

How to Catch Great Tusk

Much like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant, Great Tusk is a version exclusive Pokemon that is only available in Pokemon Scarlet. If you're playing Pokemon Violet, then you'll be able to catch its alternative variant, Iron Treads.

If you're looking forward to adding Great Tusk to your Pokedex, you're going to need to make your way over to Area Zero, where you can find the Paradox Pokemon that each game offers. Your best bet for finding Great Tusk is to head down to the very bottom level of the Great Crater of Paldea. This is also where you're find plenty of other Paradox Pokemon, and also where you go to enter the main laboratory when following the game's story.

Great Tusk doesn't have a specific spot that it spawns in. Instead, it will be found just roaming around the area like any other Pokemon. But, this isn't the only place you can find it. It can also spawn at the top of the crater in some rare occurrences, so just keep your eyes open as you fly around the area looking for Pokemon to catch.

Another great place to look for Great Tusk, and one place that sets it aside from the other Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that Great Tusk can actually be found in the main overworld of Paldea. In some rare instances this massive Pokemon will actually spawn over where you battled the Titan version of it. It doesn't spawn in huge numbers here, but it can be found here if you haven't unlocked Area Zero just yet.

Great Tusk isn't as difficult to catch as some Pokemon found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so it isn't worth using your Master Ball to catch it. But, if you want, you can also clone the Master Ball and then guarantee grabbing it before it can get away somehow.
