Pregnant Meghan Markle Felt Baby Kicking at 2018 British Fashion Awards? Viral Video Leads Fans To Speculate

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle felt her baby kicking at the at 2018 British Fashion Awards—at least that's what some of her fans are claiming. A viral clip shows the former Suits star cradling her baby bump with both hands while on stage at Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday. Suddenly, her expression changed and her hand moved toward her chest. That led many to claim she felt her baby kick.

One viral clip was shared by the Twitter user @_pammyy, who wrote: "She felt that kick. Now everyone can calm down about her holding her bump, stay pressed." The clip has been viewed nearly 40,000 times.

"This is the most beautiful thing ever. Baby Sussex is playing and 'kicked' Meghan," one person wrote. "Baby Harry 2.0. Probably doing somersaults in there! Knows something different is going on & got excited!" another wrote.

Markle, 37, attended the event to present an award to Givenchy's artistic director Clare Waight Keller with the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award. Markle wore a black, one-shoulder Givenchy gown for the fashion fête. She also wore one of Keller's designs for her royal wedding in May.

Keller, 47, succeeded Riccardo Tisci in March 2017. She's the first woman to earn the title at the French fashion house.

Markle broke royal protocol that night by wearing a dress that was off-the-shoulder and by wearing black nail polish. Queen Elizabeth and Markle's sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, typically wear nude nail polish. In fact, the queen has been Essie's "Ballet Slippers," a neutral shade of pale pink, for almost three decades.

But nail polish isn't the only weird rule Markle might have broken. It is a tradition for royal men and women to spend their Christmas mornings separate, eating breakfast alone, former royal chef Darren McGrady claimed told People magazine in December 2013. If she continues to deviate from royal protocol, this is a rule that Markle could potentially break.

The royal women typically have their meals delivered and the men apparently eat downstairs. "On Christmas Day, the ladies generally opt for a light breakfast of sliced fruit, half a grapefruit, toast and coffee delivered to their rooms," McGrady wrote in an article for The Daily Mail last year.
