Prince Harry and Prince William's Joint Red Carpet Appearance Goes Viral

Footage of Prince Harry and Prince William arriving on the red carpet at a 2017 movie premiere in London has gone viral on TikTok.

The brothers' relationship has attracted increased public scrutiny in recent years after Harry's sensational split from the monarchy with Meghan Markle in 2020 and the release of media projects such as the couple's 2022 Netflix docuseries and Harry's 2023 memoir.

In his memoir, the prince provided his side of what was portrayed as a lifelong rivalry with William, presenting a critical view of his brother in a number of accounts, including one of an alleged physical attack at Kensington Palace during an argument between the brothers over Meghan's treatment of royal staff.

In interviews promoting the book, Harry said he wrote it not out of malice or with the intention of hurting his family and that he both loved and hoped to reconcile with William at some point in the future.

For his part, William did not publicly respond to Harry's memoir or the claims made about him within it.

Since these revelations, fans of the brothers have shared posts and videos reflecting on their happier moments and joint appearances.

Fans are now flocking to a video posted on TikTok by @danideeeee1 that shows Harry and William arriving at the Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie premiere at London's Royal Albert Hall in December 2017. The clip has since viral, gaining over 220,000 views on the platform since being posted on February 20.

The princes attended the premiere as it was raising money for The Royal Foundation, which at the time was run jointly by William, Harry and Kate Middleton.

A year earlier, the brothers had visited the movie's set in England, where they met with cast and crew, as well, and tried their hand at a light-hearted lightsaber duel.

Upon their arrival at the Royal Albert Hall for the premiere on December 12, 2017, their royal car was flanked by stormtroopers from Star Wars, and the brothers were met with cheers from fans.

The video clip has received in excess of 13,000 likes and over 160 comments so far on TikTok, many of which have not only praised the brothers but also lamented the public strain that has developed in their relationship.

"Once upon a time....," wrote one user.

"My hope is that someday their love for each other as brothers overcomes whatever issues that they have," posted another, with a further comment reading: "The ultimate arrival [praise hands emoji]."
