Priyanka Chopra Won't Let The Cut's Story About Nick Jonas 'Disturb' Her Happiness

When it comes to The Cut's since-pulled article slamming Priyanka Chopra for marrying Nick Jonas, the successful actress is unbothered. She won't let the controversial article "disturb" her happiness.

New York Magazine's The Cut removed a piece from its website on Chopra, 36, and Jonas, 26, following their extravagant wedding abroad this past week. The piece, published on Tuesday, was called "Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's Love for Real?" The Quantico alum was deemed to be a "global scam artist" by the publication. The news outlet also suggested the couple's quick marriage was as a career move for the actress, who is set to star in Isn't It Romantic in February.

"All Nick wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood's latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist," the story had read. "Even more upsetting, she's a scam artist who never even took the time to make sure he was comfortable riding a horse before arranging for him to enter their wedding ceremony on horseback."

Chopra was asked by the Hindustan Times about The Cut's scathing piece on her intentions of saying "I do" to the "Jealous" singer.

"I don't even want to react or comment," she said. "It's not even in my stratosphere. I'm in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can't disturb it."

The Cut's article received criticism from many fans on social media. This led the publication to announce it would pull the story on Wednesday, tweeting: "An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We've removed it and apologize." Now, by clicking on the article, the original content has been pulled. What replaced it is a written statement.

"Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's relationship that shouldn't have gone up. We've received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger," the statement read. "We want you to know that we hear you and we're sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick."

Chopra's brother-in-law, Joe Jonas, defended her over The Cut's story. "This is disgusting," he tweeted Wednesday. "@TheCut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love. Thank u, Next."

Chopra's sister-in-law to be, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, called out The Cut as well, tweeting on Wednesday: "This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bullshit."
