Pro Bowl Voting Results: Tom Brady Earns Record 14th Selection

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady tied the NFL record for most career Pro Bowl selections with his 14th on Tuesday.

Brady joined fellow quarterback Peyton Manning, tight end Tony Gonzalez, offensive tackle Bruce Matthews and defensive tackle Merlin Olsen as the only players to make 14 Pro Bowl teams in NFL history, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The former MVP will be joined by cornerback Stephon Gilmore, the only other Patriots player to earn a selection for the Jan. 27 game in Orlando.

The Los Angeles Chargers led all teams with seven Pro Bowl selections -- quarterback Philip Rivers, running back Melvin Gordon, wide receiver Keenan Allen, center Mike Pouncey, defensive end Melvin Ingram and safeties Derwin James and Adrian Phillips -- amid a four-game winning streak. It was the most players selected since the franchise produced 10 Pro Bowl selections in 2008.

"It feels amazing," James said about making his first Pro Bowl roster as a rookie. "I set out goals for myself this year that I wanted to accomplish, and this is one of many.

"That's special, to be able to know that you're among the best in the league, because everyone doesn't make the Pro Bowl, I'm happy as hell."

The No. 17 overall pick leads Los Angeles players with 93 total tackles, while also recording 3.5 sacks and three interceptions. Rivers is having one of the best seasons of his storied career, tying for a league-best 31 touchdowns, ranking fifth in completion percentage (69.4) and tying for seventh in passing yards (3,951). He's also thrown for a touchdown pass in 26 consecutive games, which dates back to the 2017 season.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers each had six selections, while the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys each had five, including Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who now trails Brady's shared record by two with his 12th career selection.
