HGTV Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott won't be The Bachelor anytime soon, but that's not for ABC's lack of trying. The design show host has been asked to hand out roses on the dating reality show three or four times, according to him and his brother, Drew Scott.

"I said my third no to being the Bachelor about a month ago," Jonathan told Us Weekly on Sunday. "I cannot. That is absolutely not me. I would love something like Amazing Race. [It] would be fun. But not The Bachelor."

Drew clarified the show would never fit into Jonathan's busy schedule. "Jonathan has been pitched like, I think four times now, been approached to be the Bachelor. He don't need that," Drew said. "Anyway, I think right now he's just focusing on what we're doing, the shows, we're launching our first kids' book next month, which is exciting. Eventually, he'll have time and then I'll pawn him off for a dating show or something."

Jonathan joked the show could be better without a marriage proposal at the end. "Oh, just frivolous sex? Oh, that sounds fun," he said. The single brother broke up with longtime girlfriend Jacinta Kuznetsov in April, Us Weekly reported April 6. Drew told the magazine there were no complications in the breakup. It was just a matter of finding the right person.

"I mean, the main thing for him and Jacinta, they knew that they weren't right together. They're good people, but they're not right together," he said.

Jonathan revealed the breakup in an April 6 Instagram post. "There's no drama or negativity; no jealousy or hate. Not even sadness or sorrow. Our memories are filled with joy and we will continue to advocate for each theory as friends wherever we go," the caption read.

Drew married Linda Phan in May. The couple hosted their own design special which showed the then-engaged couple renovating their home together.

The Bachelor will continue without Jonathan as the franchise announced last week they chose Colton Underwood to be the leading man. Underwood was seen on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette as well as this summer's spinoff Bachelor In Paradise. The former NFL player fell for Kufrin but saw his time cut short when a friend of Kufrin, Tia Booth, expressed feelings for Underwood. The pair had briefly dated before and rekindled their fling on Paradise. They left the show separated and single before the season's end.
