ABC's The Proposal introduced viewers to an Instagram famous surgeon and self-proclaimed "tech nerd" Monday night. Dr. Buck Parker ended the episode by proposing to contestant Nicole. It is unclear if the couple is still together.

Parker is a surgeon at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, according to his website. He practices appendectomies and gallbladder surgery, alongside specializing in hernias and traumatic injury. He studied everything from Cardio Surgery to Plastic Surgery in his schooling years at both Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and St. Matthew's School of Medicine in Belize.

He even studied with NASA processing ultrasounds in no-gravity settings.

Parker's appearance on The Proposal isn't his first on reality TV. He appeared on NBC's The Island as both a stranded participant and a medical expert in 2015. All participants on the show had minimal training from survival expert Bear Grylls before appearing on the show.

Since his NBC appearance, Parker's reach as a surgeon has grown. His Instagram boasts over 105,000 followers. His website's bio explained he likes posting "goofy pictures" there, but followers should expect graphic posts too. His latest includes a close-up surgery video.

Parker's life is not solely dedicated to surgery. In 2007, he started a million dollar web-business built on Google algorithms. Through super-fit.com, Parker partnered with and sells the P90X workout series. He testified to the health benefits he found from the work out programs.

His latest venture is supporting students. Through his YouTube channel, he announced a study series designed to help raise student's GPAs with study hacks he used in college. In an introduction video, he spoke of his time in a fraternity, his lack of school motivation and his dream of being a "badass" surgeon. He created an online program called Secret Study Hacks which registers at just under $1000 per enrollment. He live chats with students once a week or can be hired for solo sessions for $500 an hour.

On The Proposal, Parker hoped to find love in a group of 10 women. He explained that he was looking for a best friend and was ready for a serious relationship and a family. His fiancé, Nicole, was most memorable for her acknowledgment of the importance of intimacy in a relationship. She revealed her opinion on sex, saying it's healthy for a couple to be intimate every day.
