PS5 Restock Update for Target, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Costco and More

It's been almost two weeks since the PS5 was last available in the United States, with not a single drop having taken place in February so far.

Even by the standards of PlayStation and Xbox restocks, this is very unusual. The consoles typically go on sale at least once per week and, while most drops are incredibly short-lived, it's uncommon for things to be this quiet.

The last drop was at GameStop on Thursday, January 27 and there have been no subsequent opportunities to get a PS5 since then. Even Walmart, which has a fairly regular schedule, hasn't updated its inventories in almost a month.

Clearly, the supply issues that have been plaguing this console generation for this past year have yet to be resolved. With that being said, when a restock does finally happen at a major retailer, you can guarantee that there will be a lot of eager shoppers poised to make a purchase.

To help you beat these crowds, Newsweek has summarized the latest restock information below.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Throughout 2021, expert console trackers observed that Walmart had a fairly rigid schedule when it came to PS5 drops. These generally occurred every other Thursday, at 3 p.m. ET.

Unfortunately, this restock pattern has not been quite as consistent in 2022, with it being nearly a month since the marketplace's inventory was last replenished.

Nevertheless, the few drops that have taken place this year have all been on Thursday afternoons, so you might want to keep an eye on the website around February 10 just in case.

Target PS5 Restock

According to TheShortcut.com (a consumer advice blog ran by the dependable console tracker Matt Swider), there could be a Target restock happening on February 10.

This is based on reports from managers at individual Target branches, who have indicated that their supply levels have just been topped up.

While these sources have been reliable for Swider in the past, they are not in charge of when the "add to basket" button goes live on the Target website. As such, the imminent restock could be occurring a little later than Thursday, but it is definitely on the horizon.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

Best Buy has not restocked on PS5s since Thursday, January 20.

Although there is currently no word on when the next drop will be, it is worth noting that Best Buy's console sales are often reserved for the chain's premium TotalTech members anyway.

This loyalty scheme costs an annual fee of $199 and entitles you to various discounts, admission to a 24/7 support line, and early access to certain in-demand items.

However, if you are only in the market for a PS5 and don't plan on taking advantage of these other benefits, TotalTech might not justify the steep cost.

Should the next PS5 drop be exclusive to TotalTech members, the official Best Buy Twitter account will announce this ahead of time.

Amazon PS5 Restock

The last PS5 restock at Amazon was around New Year's Eve.

Generally speaking, the online marketplace schedules its drops towards the end of the month, so another one is not expected for at least a couple more weeks.

GameStop PS5 Restock

GameStop is the outlet that most recently had the PS5 in stock (on January 27) but that was two weeks ago now.

At the time of writing, there is no indication of when the next drop will be. For timely updates, we recommended that you follow dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals, @SupplyNinja and @Wario64 on Twitter and turn on notifications.

Newegg PS5 Restock

The daily Newegg Shuffle product lotteries can be a great way to get your hands on a PS5 for a decent price, as long the item is actually included in the draw.

While that are no consoles featured in the Newegg Shuffle on Thursday, February 10, the contents refresh every 24 hours at 11 a.m. ET. It's therefore worth checking in at this time each day, just in case a PS5 or Xbox Series X is added.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

If you want to get a PS5 directly from Sony itself, then you will need an email invitation.

To get one of these and join the virtual line, you must first express your interest on the PS Direct website. For more in-depth instructions about this, check out Newsweek's comprehensive guide on the topic.

Antonline PS5 Restock

While the PS5 is sold out at Antonline, you can get the less powerful Xbox Series S from the website instead.

This cheaper hardware is available in a special Fortnite bundle, which ships with a digital code that can be redeemed for V-bucks and cosmetic rewards in the popular battle royale game.

This package costs $299, which is a good price considering that a standalone Xbox Series S usually goes for the exact same amount.

Sam's Club PS5 Restock

The situation is almost identical over at Sam's Club, although the bundles here are a little more expensive.

For $399 you can get the Xbox Series S with Fortnite and Rocket League vouchers, as well as a spare red controller and a wired headset.

Alternatively, you can get a different bundle that packages the all-digital console with a PDP media remote a Rig 500 Pro Ex headset. This option will set you back $379.

To clarify, there are no PS5 bundles listed at Sam's Club right now.

Costco PS5 Restock

Costco restocks take place very infrequently, but they do happen from time to time.

It's impossible to predict when the next drop might be, given that there is no established pattern whatsoever. At the time of writing, there are no PS5s available from Costco.

If the situation changes, dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals, @SupplyNinja and @Wario64 will be the first to let you know.
