PS5 Restock Update for Walmart, Target, Amazon, Best Buy, Costco and More

Even though it launched over a year ago, the PS5's availability is still very low in the United States.

Due to various supply shortages (which have been persisting since November 2020) restocks have been incredibly rare. In fact, there has not been a single drop at Amazon this year and most other retailers have only updated their inventories once or twice.

There is reason to get your hopes up though, as at least one restock has been confirmed for this week and others are rumored to be going ahead as well. Here is the latest information.

Walmart PS5 Restock

At Walmart, a joint PS5 and Xbox Series X restock will be taking place at 12 p.m. ET on February 24.

Reports about this were initially leaked by reputable console trackers — including Matt Swider of TheShortcut.com— and have now been confirmed by Walmart's official channels.

The event is exclusively reserved for the outlet's premium Walmart Plus customers though, so you will need to sign up for this loyalty scheme if you want to make a purchase.

More details on Walmart Plus, how much it costs and what perks it entitles you to can be found here.

Target PS5 Restock

On a related note, Matt Swider has also predicted that there might be a Target restock this week.

According to his inside sources (who manage inventory levels for individual Target branches) this is likely to take place on Friday, February 25.

Target restocks are always scheduled for the early hours of the morning, between 7 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. ET, so make sure that you are keeping an eye out around then.

Amazon PS5 Restock

Amazon typically coordinates its PlayStation 5 restocks toward the end of each month, meaning that the drop for February should be just around the corner.

This is corroborated by prominent tracker account @Jake_Randall_YT, whose inside sources have indicated that the online marketplace will have restocked before the end of the week.

It is probably worth following Randall on Twitter, so that you receive a timely update when this does happen. After all, these Amazon drops are notoriously short-lived and are fiercely competitive.

GameStop PS5 Restock

For the entire duration of February, there hasn't been a single PS5 drop at GameStop.

The outlet has coordinated a few Xbox Series X restocks, however, with the most recent of these taking place on Monday, February 21. Here, you had the opportunity to buy Microsoft's console — bundled with a spare white controller, a $50 GameStop gift card and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership — for just $648.98.

Of course, these supplies were rapidly snatched up and are no longer available.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

Similar to GameStop, Best Buy has been periodically restocking on Xbox consoles throughout February, but hasn't sold any PS5s since Thursday, January 20.

On the bright side, this does mean that the retailer is now long overdue for another restock and that it could happen any day now.

Newegg PS5 Restock

It's always worth checking out the contents of each daily Newegg Shuffle lottery, just to see if any PS5 bundles are featured on the website.

Sony's console isn't available in the draw for February 24, but it could be on Friday when the refresh occurs at 11 p.m. ET.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

The only way to buy a PS5 directly from Sony itself is to get an email invitation that allows you to join the virtual queue when it opens.

These are sent out to customers who have expressed their interest ahead of time on the PS Direct website. Newsweek has prepared a handy guide explaining this registration process in more detail.

Antonline PS5 Restock

You can't order a PS5 from Antonline right now, but there is an Xbox Series S bundle up for grabs instead.

Microsoft's all-digital console is available in a special Fortnite bundle that ships with V-bucks codes that you can redeem for currency in Epic Games' popular battle royale.

If you are interested, this package costs $299. That is the recommended manufacturer's price for the Xbox Series S as a standalone item (and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else), so just think of the Fortnite vouchers as complementary extras.

Sam's Club PS5 Restock

You have a few more options for getting your hands on an Xbox from Sam's Club.

Multiple Series S bundles are listed on the retailer's website and you can even purchase an Xbox Series X for $589. Here, you can get the console alongside a RIG 400 Wired Headset and a PDP Ultra Slim Charger.

Unfortunately, Sam's Club isn't offering any similar deals for the PS5 at the time of writing.

Costco PS5 Restock

PS5 drops are very rare at Costco. The merchant isn't exactly known for being a gaming retailer and it has no established restock pattern whatsoever.

Sony's console just appears on the website once in a blue moon. To be alerted if this happens again in the near future, follow dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals, @SupplyNinja and @Wario64 on Twitter and turn on notifications.
