Publix Thanksgiving Sandwich Returns for Limited Time

A fan favorite Thanksgiving item is back at Publix, and shoppers need to take advantage of the new sandwich as it's only in stores for a limited time.

On Thursday, the grocery chain's Turkey Cranberry Pub Sub returned nationwide, signaling the countdown to Thanksgiving.

"It's back and as delicious as you remember," Publix announced on X, formerly Twitter).

Each sandwich comes with turkey, Gruyere cheese, bacon, mayonnaise and cranberry orange relish, with prices determined by location.

Fan Reactions

When the Turkey Cranberry Pub Sub first made its way into stores several years ago, not all customers were certain if they liked everything that was on the sandwich.

Some doubted the choice to include cranberry, but many others flocked to stores to try the unique holiday flavor.

"My favorite sub is this one," one Redditor said. "I love it every time it rolls around."

Another wrote: "Only thing missing is stuffing and turkey gravy."

Still, some naysayers are hesitant to try the unique sub.

"I haven't tried it but I feel I wouldn't like it," another Redditor said. "Cranberry on a sub just sounds super weird."

And another said: "I actually didn't enjoy it, but that's an unpopular opinion."

Other Thanksgiving Deals

Publix isn't the only chain taking advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday to unveil some new and innovative items.

Each turkey is rubbed with a seasoning of paprika, salt, dried onions, dried garlic and red pepper and can feed at least eight people.

At Boston Market, customers will be able to choose between a selection of Thanksgiving main course meats and sides. The fan favorites include turkey and ham and sides like mashed potatoes, stuffing and apple pie for $12 per person.

Bob Evans also sells a complete holiday dinner to go. The cost is $12.49 per person for 10 servings. The feast features turkey or ham, plus an array of sides like dinner rolls, macaroni and cheese and pumpkin pie.

KFC is offering its holiday buckets, which include 12-piece or 16-piece meals. Each bucket also comes with six cookies, three large sides and six biscuits.

If you're looking for a dine-in meal, there are also plenty of options.
