THE PUNISHER SEASON 1 RECAP

Frank Castle first appeared during Daredevil Season 2 as a vigilante Daredevil was trying to stop. With Castle's military training, he became a pain in Daredevil's side for about half the season before he was thrown in jail.

Castle eventually breaks out of prison and thinks he's taken out the people who killed his family, but finds out his former commanding officer was only a part of a larger conspiracy inside the CIA. This leads Castle on a quest to finding those who took his family away from him in Season 1.

Frank finds and teams up with a man who goes by Micro who also found himself wrapped up in a government conspiracy. Micro faked his death so his family would be safe and to down the people who sought to frame him.

Castle and Micro slowly unravel the conspiracy and with the help of Agent Dinah Madani, they take down Agent Orange. In their pursuit of the truth, Castle finds out that Billy Russo, his former brother-in-arms, was working for Agent Orange. The two have a final fight and Frank comes out on top, damaging Russo's face. After delivering Russo to Madani, Micro and Castle receive pardons and can go about their lives.

Netflix released a few teaser trailers for the upcoming season, and it looks like Frank is going to be pulled into another job. He finds himself protecting a young woman named Amy Bendix, who also had her family killed. Russo is back and has adopted the Jigsaw persona to take down Castle and Bendix, on the orders of some shady figures.
