12-Week-Old Puppy Brought to Vet to Be Euthanized, Nurse Has Other Plans

A nurse couldn't stand the thought of a puppy already having an ending date to his life, which is why she stepped up to save him before he was euthanized.

Defeated and hurt, the poor 12-week-old pup whose leg was broken in three places sprawled out in the kennel at the veterinarian's office like he knew his time was coming. However, a nurse decided to give him a chance, taking over his rights and adopting him.

The TikTok video that was posted last week by user @mxrganheather, the pup's nurse, shows the journey this puppy has been on since his nurse took over. The family named the dog Koe.

He received the surgery needed to fix his broken leg and she visited him daily while he healed. Then, before he knew it, he was off to his new life with his forever family.

The video's caption reads: "And I wasn't even supposed to work that day. We love our Koe."

Following his recovery from surgery, @mxrganheather took Koe home. The family, like her, welcomed him with open arms. And since his almost last living day, he has been given nothing but love, kisses, and endless snacks.

The text overlay at the end of the video states that Koe has been the "happiest boy." It's the least he deserves for all he has gone through at such a young age.

TikTok Users React

The nurse's selfless act quickly touched people's hearts and within days of being posted, the TikTok clip had reached over 1.2 million views, 80,500 likes, and 717 comments.

"This is why I can't work at a vet's office. I'd have 492 dogs at my house," wrote one viewer.

Another person commented: "He found you when he needed you most, so sweet."

A third added: "Poor pup had to go through all that but found his rightful home."

Others reflected on the heartbreak that sometimes comes with the pet-owning territory. Surgeries or medicines often come with hefty vet bills, forcing owners to make a difficult decision and those who have been there before, thank this woman for saving the pup.

"As someone who had to put down their puppy because we couldn't afford parvo treatments. Thank you," a TikTok user commented.
