Pusha T did not learn the news of rapper Drake's secret son from Kanye West like it was previously speculated. Instead, the information was shared with the rapper indirectly from Noah "40" Shebib, who is the co-founder of Drake's OVO record label.

Pusha T revealed Drake's secret son to the world in a diss track, "The Story of Adidon," in May. A woman Shebib was dating told Pusha T about Drake's child, Pusha T claimed on The Joe Budden Podcast Wednesday.

"The information came from 40, it didn't come from Kanye," Pusha T explained. "40 is sleeping with a woman who begins to, you know, he talks to her daily, five, six hours a day. Provides an opportunity for her and ultimately speaks about how he's disgruntled about certain things, notoriety and things involving Drake and his career. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child, with that, also came the trip everybody took to see the child and bring him gifts and all of this information. She divulged this information. That's where it came from."

In a conversation on The Shop on Saturday, Drake said he expected the information about his son to come out in the Pusha T track. "I'm gonna tell you something, I knew something was gonna come up about my kid," he said. "They had to add the deadbeat dad thing to make it more appealing, which is fine. The mom and dad thing...Whatever. You don't even know my family."

The Toronto rapper also claimed he had a comeback to Pusha T, but he chose not to release it because it was below him. "I got home, listened back to it, and I was like, 'Man, this is not something I ever want to be remembered for. This is not even a place I necessarily want to go,'" he said. "The song, I thought, was trash, but it was a hell of a chess move."

More than anger over the mention of his child, Drake said a line was crossed when Pusha T referenced Shebib's Multiple Sclerosis in the diss track. A line in the song reads "OVO 40, hunched over like he 80, tick, tick, tick. How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick."

"Wishing death upon my friend who has MS — I study rap battles for a living," Drake said Saturday. "When you mention defenseless people who are sick in the hospital, who have passed away, I just believe that there's a price you have to pay for that. It's over! Someone's gonna f****** punch you in the f****** face."

Drake said unknown to some fans, there are lines that should not be crossed in rap battles. "Rap purists and people who love confrontation, they love to say, ' There are no rules to this s***!' There are f****** rules to this s***."
