Pussy Grabs Back: Women Protest Trump With Art
Female artists have turned to their work as a means to respond to and protest Donald Trump's candidacy and election as the next president of the United States as well as the political and social climate that allowed his victory. The exhibit "Uprise/Angry Women," which opened Tuesday at The Untitled Space in Manhattan, was curated by the gallery's founder Indira Cesarine, herself an artist and photographer. The show includes 80 works out of more than 1800 submissions by women across the country and abroad.
