UPDATE: January 10, 10:13 a.m. EST - Reddit was down again for users Thursday morning. Thousands of reports of issues with the site were appearing on Down Detector Thursday. The reports appeared to be coming from across the United States and Europe and it was unclear what was causing the problems.

Original story:

Tuesday morning Reddit users found that the website was down, a second time in the last 24 hours. The message that appeared in the place of the usual site read, "Our CDN was unable to reach our servers."

Monday night, reports of issues with the site poured into the website Down Detector. It seemed as though the issues were resolved, but only for a short time, they started back up again Monday morning EDT.

The reports to Down Detector showed that the issues were widespread across much of the East Coast of the United States as well as the United Kingdom and Europe.

While users were receiving error messages on the homepage, the Reddit status website showed that everything was functioning normally. It was green, signaling that it was operational and the banner of the site said, "All Systems Operational."

Users were also taking to Twitter to tweet about the outage and check in on other whether other users were experiencing similar issues with the site. One user tweeted that they would actually have to get some work done with the site down. Another shared that the issues they were experiencing were on both the website and the app.

Some users were taking the outage a little hard, it even disrupted one user's morning routine.

Some users were hypothesizing that the site might have an expired certificate that was causing the issues on the website.

Reddit did not immediately respond to Newsweek's request for comment.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
