Who hasn't spoiled their pups over the holidays? A dog owner from Washington state has melted hearts after revealing how she spoiled her rescue for Christmas.
A clip shared on TikTok in December, under the username mckenna_little_k, shows her pup, a chocolate Labrador called Pepperoni, enjoying his gift, a trip to the sea.
The heartwarming clip comes with a caption that says: "Taking my Texas rescue dog to see the ocean for the first time."
The first stop on their trip was a pup cup, followed by a hike and a detour to the Goonies' house. They then stopped at a bed and breakfast for the night, where they both got treats.
The caption continues: "After a cozy night in... he sees it!!! So many new smells!! he LOVES it!! nothing makes me happier than seeing him happy!" Followed by: "I think Pepperoni liked his Christmas gift."
Not all dogs like the water, but Labradors certainly do! According to ASPCA Pet Insurance, they love water so much they are "practically fish!"
However, the website warns: "When letting your Labrador retriever in the water, watch them like you'd watch a small child. Be sure they have a way out and don't look like they're panicking or struggling.
"Labradors' swimming instincts make most of them relaxed in the water, but young dogs, old dogs, and dogs that have not yet built up their stamina will get tuckered out sooner and need easy access to shore. Just to be safe, you may want to investigate purchasing a dog life jacket."

Each year, 6.3 million pets enter U.S. shelters, which is an average of 17,260 a day, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The number of dogs and cats taken in by pet shelters hit 46,807 during January 2023, an increase of 1,744 compared with January 2022, the 24Pet 'Shelter Watch Report' found.
Around 920,000 surrendered animals are euthanized every year. Shelters are striving to minimize euthanasia rates by promoting adoption campaigns, spaying and neutering programs, and behavior rehabilitation.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 618,600 views and 121,100 likes.
One user, Sandra, commented: "I wish all dogs could live a life filled with love and adventure like this." And Jennifer Kearby said: "Watching my Texas rescue experience snow for the first time was everything core memory made for me and for her." Wyliewin added: "Thanks to all who adopt these living souls!"
